6 Weeks No Fetal Pole - None successfully made it past 6 weeks. I went in today for an early scan due to my history and we saw the yolk sac but no fetal pole. The doctor said given we know exactly. 6 weeks , sac but no fetal pole. Is it too early to detect a fetal pole at the very first day of 6 weeks? Ultrasound at 6 weeks showed empty gestational sac, no yolk sac and no fetal pole. Went back 2 weeks later and baby was measuring 8 wk 3 days with a strong heartbeat. I just came back from a 6 weeks scan where they said they can't see the fetal pole. This is after 2 mc, one of them a silent one and it gives me just so much anxiety. Medically speaking, a fetal pole isnโt yet a baby. Itโs an embryo until about the 10th week of gestation. It then becomes a fetus and goes through fetal development until birth. The embryos are the fetuses. No fetal pole means that no babies were seen. 6 weeks is pretty early to see much, especially if your dates are off. 6 weeks is still very early on! Fingers crossed for you in two weeks. I'm going through the same thing, just been for a scan at 6 weeks and no fetal pole just the gestational.
